Paris to Florence

made it!

Just got off the overnight train from Paris to Florence. I highly recommend doing that. You save so much time by traveling at night that you end up having the whole day ahead of you in your destination. Bello!

So yes. Paris was as beautiful as they say. Ironically though, at moments I really loved it. And other moments it was just okay.

The Eiffel Tower was surprisingly not that impressive. No, correction. The line to get to climb the tower wasn't that impressive. So needless to say, I didn't climb it. I got nice enough views of the city from the Arc du Triomphe and the Montmarte hill (some locals/people I was staying with showed me around a little).
As a structure, though, the tower is quite beautiful. In that whole steel-construction look.. if that's your thing than yes, it's beautiful! ;)
All of the other "main attractions" are just stunningly huge and beautiful.
I had lots of French bread (Mm!), crepes and eclairs.. a traditional French sandwich is just ham, butter and cheese on a baguette. So simple and delicious.

Now, I'm at a hostel in Florence, Italy. Much better so far then the others I've stayed in. About to go get a café and probably get lost a lot. Best way to see a place!
